What do you think about this? Is this something you have tried? I’d love to know in the comments below. It will earn you extra brownie points (and it is part of why I get so many referrals from parents of my couples). If you aren’t doing this yet, START NOW!Ĭhances are the parents of your bride and groom don’t have photos with their daughter or son from the wedding - and if they do, it is a crummy iPhone photo, so give them something to share that looks good. So even if they don’t love one or two of them, they have a few others that they can post as an announcement that they are married.ĪND, I really believe it is so important to give the couple photos of both families at the wedding. + 2 photos of the family (bride’s family + groom’s family)īy giving my couple 7 – 10 photos from throughout the day, it gets the bride and groom super excited for their sneak peek slideshow and it gives them a handful of images to post and share with friends and family. + 1 photo of the bride + groom with the wedding party + 2 photos from the ceremony (I go with the first kiss and them exiting/walking down the aisle - both are moments that make the couple so happy. + 3-5 photos of the couple from portraits (usually one from golden hour) Monday morning, I sit down and I find and edit the following :

Instead of sending my wedding couples a sneak peek of one or two photos the next day, I send them about 10 photos within 72 hours of the wedding. By sending them one photo that they don’t like, you might have them thinking they won’t like any of the photos. And it might cause them to doubt me, my work and what their photos are going to look like. T hey might see the photo that I love oh-so-much and only see their flaws (like how their hair is laying or how not skinny their arm looks). Just because I LOVE a photo of my couple or client, doesn’t mean they are going to LOVE it like I do. it can 100% make clients nervous about their photos. It’s a testdoes this work And it’s a peek into the writing process many readers enjoy. So why post a sneak peek It’s a tease of what’s coming. It’s an early draft which means there are grammatical errors, punctuation errors, and probably some story errors, too. I felt like I HAD to because that was what everyone else was doing (yeap, I did it because everyone else was doing it).Īs time went on and I started to really think through things, I hit pause on sending sneak peeks (and I made my clients aware of this change) because as exciting as it is to get a sneak peek …. It's almost the final rose ceremony and stakes are high as couples contemplate if they have what it takes to stay together. A sneak peek is a portion of a story in progress.I knew my clients were dying to see something.I was so freakin’ excited about what we created, I just wanted to get into the work and share it Join the Early Adopter Community to receive regular updates on features in development, test beta releases, and provide feedback on the forums.I would rush home from a shoot or wedding and give them a sneak peek within 24 hours because : And a little further on, in the adjacent entrance area, 1,100 student flats will be realised.Early on in my business, I was taught to give sneak peeks to clients. A green, covered bicycle shed will be built after the summer on the steel foundations of the former Gorlaeus high-rise between the lecture hall building and the Gorlaeus building. There will also be a brand-new University Sports Centre (USC) on the other side of the square. The adjacent Campus Square (the new Rosalind Franklin Square) will be transformed in the coming years into an attractive meeting place with lawns and seating areas. The Gorlaeus building is part of a transformation of this section of the Leiden Bio Science Park. This new set-up will invite people to meet, interact and share ideas. Once this last phase has been completed, many of the institutes and faculty services will be under one roof with a floor area of an impressive 100,000 square metres. Phase 2b will see a further extension on the site of the old LMUY research building, with labs, offices and teaching rooms. Once phase 2a has been completed the Gorlaeus building with its distinctive comb structure and the iconic saucer-shaped lecture hall building will be the ‘face’ of the faculty. Impression of the building of the future.

The main entrance to this part of the building will be on the Campus Square.

The new building’s facilities will include labs, a brasserie and lecture halls. A virtual reality app will give you a good impression of the interior, making this a truly unique experience. On Construction Day you will be able to follow a route with information about the different rooms. Phase two of the new Gorlaeus building is still in progress but it is far enough to give a good impression of what it will look like when completed later this year. On 17 June students, staff and anyone else who might be interested can take a look behind the fences at the impressive Gorlaeus phase 2a with state-of-the-art labs and research facilities for the Faculty of Science.
